In 1978 Jimmy Carter the President of the United States created a Peace Treaty involving the Egyptians and Israeli's at his retreat. As a result, the two nations agreed to: abstain from future war, Negotiate the refugee issue, permit Israeli use of the Suez Canal, and additionally it was decided Israel would acquire their oil supply from Egypt. Lastly Egypt was expelled from OPEC.
